Israeli soldiers capture mosque, turn it into restaurant
Israeli soldiers have seized control of the Rafah Crossing mosque, located near the Egyptian border, transforming it into a military headquarters, restaurant, and entertainment center.
Videos circulating on social media show soldiers cooking inside the mosque, defacing its walls with graffiti, and tampering with its contents, sparking outrage among Palestinians.
This desecration of the mosque comes amidst a brutal escalation of violence in Rafah, with Israeli forces pushing deeper into the western area, including the Al-Mawasi zone, designated as a humanitarian area by the Israeli army.
Heavy bombardment from air, ground, and sea has forced countless families to flee their homes under the cover of darkness.

While residents report the Israeli military’s advance into the Al-Mawasi zone, the Israeli military denies any strikes within the designated humanitarian area.
The conversion of the mosque into a military base is only the latest in a series of incidents that show the disregard for religious sites and the suffering inflicted on the Palestinian population during the ongoing conflict.
