QS World University Rankings 2025: 10 Pakistani universities included

Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released World University Rankings to measure employability and sustainability performance in which Pakistani Universities are ranked as well.

The QS World University Rankings for the year 2025 includes a record-breaking number of 1,500 higher education institutions from 106 different education systems around the world.

The QS Global University Ranking for the year 2025 includes a list of the top 10 universities in Pakistan.

Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad is ranked 315th globally and first nationally.

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is ranked 353rd globally and second nationally.

Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) is ranked 535th globally and third nationally.

The University of the Punjab in Lahore is ranked 570th globally and the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad is ranked between 681-690 globally.

The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS) is ranked between 691-700 globally and sixth nationally.

COMSATS University Islamabad is ranked between 711-720 globally and seventh nationally whereas The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) (751-760), The University of Peshawar (901-950), and The University of Lahore (between 951-1000) are ranked globally.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has retained its top position in the QS rankings for the 13th consecutive year. Imperial College has risen from 6th to 2nd place, attributed to its world-class research, strong employability, and exceptional sustainability commitment. The University of Oxford and Harvard University maintain their positions at 3rd and 4th, respectively, while the University of Cambridge completes the top five.
