The missing wife of the ambassador of Vietnam, what is the story?| Aaj News

The wife of Vietnam’s ambassador to Pakistan, Nguyen Tien Phong, has cleared the confusion over the missing incident that kept the federal capital’s police on their toes until she was found.

“I just went out to buy something and just go to the spa and cut my hair, so I forgot my phone so my husband waited so long and could not call me that’s why he called the police. Nothing happened,” she told Shaukat Piracha of Aaj News.

Piracha’s interview with the couple was aired on Rubaroo on Monday.

She was found four after going “missing” in Islamabad on Saturday. SSP Investigation Hassan Jahangir Watto had told the Independent Urdu that the Vietnamese ambassador’s wife had become upset with her husband and left the house.

When Piracha asked if she was not missing and if there was no misunderstanding with her husband, she replied in the affirmative.

The Vietnam’s ambassador to Pakistan spoke on the same wavelength and added that he was worried about his wife.

“The safety and life of my wife are first priority,” he said and added that the matter was not just serious for him, but also for Pakistan, the Foreign Office, and the police. “We shared that the most important thing was to bring my wife back.”

He thanked the FO and police in recovering her wife. According to the ambassador, the prompt response from the police and FO fortified Pakistan and Vietnam relations.

When asked about her reaction after coming back home, the envoy’s wife said that she was happy and saw so many people were worried after seeing her news.
