Kristen Bell hesitates about daughters pursuing her career
Bell shared her concerns about her daughters eager to follow her career path. The actress hesitated as her daughter will face rejections in industry.
Actress Kristen Bell initially had reservations about her two daughters, Lincoln (11) and Delta (8), pursuing careers in the entertainment industry, similar to her own.
“When I first thought about it, I thought, Oh, I don’t want them to be actors. There’s too much rejection.”, Bell stated.
Her husband Dax Shepard, with whom she shares the two children, encouraged her to reconsider. Shepard questioned Bell, “Wait, do you like your life? Do you have fun? Are you overpaid? Do you get to be creative every day?” to which she replied, “Yeah.”
Shepard then advised, “Why would you not want that for your kids?” This prompted Bell to rethink her stance, acknowledging that she would “have to think longer and harder” about the counsel she would provide if her daughters decided to enter the entertainment industry.
The Good Place star explained, “I would just say, ‘There’s a lot of rejection, but brush it off because if you’re doing what you love, something will find you.’”
