No talks with anti-state elements: Dar

Adds that CPEC's issues will be discussed by PM on China visit

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar said on Friday that the government will not negotiate with anyone who stands against the state.

Speaking to reporters informally at the Parliament House, Dar said that he believed that negotiations were the way out of every crisis but they cannot be extended to anti-state elements.

Referring to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Dar added that no concessions can be granted to people involved in the protests of May 9, where the Corps Commander house and General Headquarters were attacked.

He added that the opinion on May 9 expressed by the Formation Commanders Conference was the opinion of every Pakistani citizen.

He stated that the 126-day sit-in in front of the parliament was resolved through negotiations. Compromise and dialogue are part of politics and should be practiced. The May 9 incident was an uprising against the state.
