Fire broke out in Islamabad’s Margala Hills on Monday as the prime minister’s coordinator sought a helicopter to douse the fire.

In this regard, Prime Minister Coordinator on Climate Change & Environmental Coordination Romina Khurshid Alam contacted the National Disaster Management Authority chairman.

Alam had requested to send a helicopter to extinguish the fire.

Rescue teams are trying to put out the fire, according to Alam. The process of extinguishing the fire in the Saidpur village range of Margalla was in progress.

The firefighters were trying to put out the fire, however, the strong winds made the task more challenging.

On May 18, another fire erupted in the Margalla Hills of Islamabad as the Capital Development Authority (CDA) team managed to control around 70% of the fire at night.
