Pop star Billie Eilish shared her thoughts on long concert lengths during the podcast episode of “Listening Party”, seemingly taking an aim at the marathon performances of fellow artists like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.

“I’m not doing a three-hour show, that’s literally psychotic. Nobody wants that. You guys don’t want that, I don’t want that, you know what I’m saying? I don’t even want that as a fan,” Eilish told her fans on the livestream event held on May 23, 2024.

“Even my favorite artist in the world, I’m not tryna hear them for three hours. (Laughs) You know what I mean? It’s far too long,” she continued.

Eilish’s comments were interpreted by many as a direct criticism of the recent Eras Tour by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, which have both featured performances lasting three hours or more.

Fans on X were quick to call out Eilish, with one saying “girl, you need to stop digging before you drown.” Another fan noted that Eilish likely won’t have a three-hour tour herself, saying “she can’t do that.”

This is not the first time Eilish has faced backlash from Swifties. In March 2023, she criticised artists’ decisions to release multiple vinyl variants of albums, which she said was harmful to the environment. Some saw this as a dig at Taylor Swift’s penchant for producing various vinyl editions of her records.

As Eilish releases her new album “Hit Me Hard And Soft”, the timing of Swift’s announcement of three new vinyl versions of “The Tortured Poets Department” has led Eilis’s fans to accuse Swift of trying to overshadow the younger artist’s release.
