The Embassy of Pakistan in Minsk, Belarus and the state government inaugurated a tram coloured with famous truck art.

Pakistan Ambassador to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan, along with First Deputy Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Lazarevich Nadezhda, and the Director General of “Minsktrans” Dziubenko Oleg Anatolievich inaugurated the Tram decorated with the traditional Truck Art.

“Belarus in collaboration with Minsktrans inaugurated a Pakistani ‘Truck Art’ Tram today in Minsk,” Khan said in a post on social media platform, X.

Khan referred to the tram as “symbolizing the strong cultural ties and enduring friendship between Pakistan and Belarus.”

The ambassador conveyed his appreciation to the Minsk city authorities for their assistance in introducing this distinctive art project in Minsk, which has brought a part of Pakistan’s artistic heritage to the streets of Belarus.

Such art has become one of Pakistan’s best known cultural exports in recent years. UNESCO, for example, has been using truck art, blended with indigenous themes, to promote girls’ education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
