Pervaiz Elahi freed from jail after LHC order
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has been released from Kot Lakhpat Jail and has returned to his residence, Zahoor Elahi Palace.
After the Lahore High Court approved his bail, Pervaiz Elahi, the President of PTI, was released from jail.
Following his release, Pervaiz Elahi arrived at his residence, Zahoor Elahi Palace, from Kot Lakhpat Jail.
The Lahore High Court had granted bail to Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi earlier today.
The Lahore High Court had approved the bail application of former Chief Minister of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, in the cases related to appointments in the Punjab Assembly.
Justice Sultan Tanveer of the Lahore High Court had granted the bail application.
Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer stated that Elahi has no connection with the appointments, and the anti-corruption case was filed with a delay of two years.
After bail was granted in four corruption cases against former Chief Minister of Punjab, he was released from jail. Various cases, including corruption charges, have been filed against former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi.
