Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a massive increase following the international gold rates, All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association said.

In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs2,300, reaching a level of Rs250,400.

The price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs1,972, settling at Rs214,678.

The global gold rate increased by $25 per ounce on Monday, reaching $2,439 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

In the domestic market, the price of gold per tola reached Rs 248,100, reflecting a single-day jump of Rs 3,100 on Saturday.
