Virat Kohli express hope to visit Pakistan during his call with Pakistani mountaineer
Indian cricketer Virat Kohli was engaged in a call with Pakistani mountaineer Shehroze Kashif, hoping to visit Pakistan soon.
Kashif posted a clip on social media platform, Instagram, showcasing his interaction with the cricketer.
He captioned, “In 2022 I was in Nepal when a stranger, originally from India (ofc not gonna say his name so he doesn’t get in any trouble due to political reasons), praised my work. He mentioned he had connections to the cricket team, so I jokingly expressed my desire to talk to Virat Kohli. To my surprise, he messaged Kohli on my behalf, and I had the opportunity to chat with him via video call. As a Pakistani, I proudly acknowledge Kohli as the greatest batsman of this era.”
However, the cricketer’s audio is available as the face cannot be seen.
In the clip, it was heard Kohli stated that ‘he would to visit Pakistan as everyone is also visiting Pakistan.’
The cricketer also said to give regard to Kashif’s family and friends.
The mountaineer also emphasized on warm welcome towards Kohli’s ‘hope’ to visit Pakistan.
The mountaineer mentioned that the video was recorded in 2022.
He met an Indian national stranger who praised the mountaineer’s work and told the mountaineer that he knew people on the Indian national team.
The mountaineer jokingly expressed a desire to speak with cricketer Virat Kohli.
The person then messaged Kohli and arranged for the mountaineer to have a video call with him.
As a Pakistani, the mountaineer acknowledged Kohli as the greatest batsman of this era. However, the mountaineer avoided revealing the name of the person who facilitated the online meeting with Kohli, to avoid getting that individual in trouble for “political reasons”.
Virat Kohli, who is 35 years old, has performed tremendously in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season. He is currently the highest run-scorer in the tournament, having amassed 661 runs in 13 innings at a remarkable strike rate of 66.10.
