Former WWE superstar Kevin Nash has said that he still deals with effects of lower back injury sustained three decades ago.

“We would have had a great match at SummerSlam. I wake each morning to a reminder of the disc disrupter in Pittsburgh,” Nash said in reply to a social media post on X by former wrestler Bryan Clark.

Nash, known for his impressive wrestling career, shed light on the lasting impact of a significant match that took place many years ago.

During his prime in the 1990s, Kevin Nash emerged as one of the industry’s biggest stars, captivating audiences with his athleticism and larger-than-life persona. Throughout his tenure in WWE, Nash engaged in numerous high-profile feuds with some of the industry’s most renowned names.

Reflecting on his career, Nash recalled an event that occurred 30 years ago during the King of the Ring Tournament.

In the tournament’s final match at SummerSlam 1995, Nash faced off against Mabel. However, it was during this encounter that Nash suffered a lower back injury while absorbing one of Mabel’s powerful splashes.

“That was 30 years ago. You can’t change the past but can dictate your future,” he said.

Discussing the match in hindsight, Bryan Clark, who competed against Mabel in the tournament’s semifinal, expressed his belief that he and Nash could have delivered an exceptional performance at SummerSlam had it not been for Nash’s lower back issues.

Nash concurred with Clark’s sentiment, revealing that he continues to experience the effects of that injury to this day.
