OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever announced his resignation from the company on Tuesday.

Sutskever revealed on his social media platform X to share his decision.

He shared that he planned to commence another significant project, however, he did not reveal any details.

The co-founder was among four board members who planned to remove CEO Sam Altman, bringing him back shortly.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman showed unhappiness over Sutskever’s departure, lauding him as “one of the greatest minds of our generation, a guiding light of our field, and a dear friend.”
