Ahead of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s visit to Karachi on Tuesday, the Pakistan Railways has changed the stop time of all trains in the city.

The stop time of all trains departing from Karachi will be two minutes at the Drigh Road and Landhi stations, according to a statement issued on Monday.

Raisi began a three-day visit amid tight security in Islamabad. Major highways in Islamabad were blocked as part of security measures for his arrival, while the government declared a public holiday in Karachi and Lahore.

The government has also taken the Movenpick Hotel Karachi under its control for three days.
