Karachi amicicide: Police recover suspect’s car from Khayaban-i-Ittehad

Businessman was allegedly shot to death by his friends after argument on Sunday

Police have recovered the car of a suspect who allegedly killed his friend — an act also known as amicicide – after an argument in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority on Sunday.

The vehicle, which was recovered from Khayaban-i-Ittehad, belonged to Fahad. The suspect fled the scene after purportedly opening fire at his friend.

According to police, Fahad hit the victim’s vehicle after chasing and intercepting him on Street 23. The suspect car’s radiator burst after the collision.

The Darakhshan police identified the victim as Humayun Muhammad Ali, 40. More than 15 shells were found at the crime scene and several bullet marks were seen on the victim’s car as well.

A media report said that the family informed the doctors at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where the body was taken, and the police that they did not want any post-mortem examination.

The suspect allegedly gunned down the victim after a heated argument between the two. Friends told the police that they tried to pacify Fahad after Ali slapped him. They had seen each other after a long time.
