Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb remarked on Monday that Bushra Bibi is being kept in solitary confinement, it is a form of torture.

Islamabad High Court resumed hearing in the request to transfer Bushra Bibi, wife of PTI founder Imran Khan, from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the petition of Bushra Bibi. Lawyer Usman Riaz Gul and Khalid Yusuf Chaudhry appeared in the court on behalf of the former first lady.

The court asked the lawyers of Bushra Bibi to submit written arguments at the next hearing and said that they want the case to not be delayed any longer.

The State counsel sought a week’s time from the court. Accepting the State Council’s request for time, the Islamabad High Court adjourned the hearing of the case till next week.

Earlier, the State sounsel had taken the position that it is being reviewed if there is something illegal regarding the jail.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb asked how the Chief Commissioner declare himself as the provincial government. He added that Bushra is being kept in solitary confinement, which is a form of torture.

The court said that one writ and six miscellaneous applications have come up in this case.

Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb told the State Council and said that you have no grounds for their position.

The court asked the lawyers if they still want to transfer Bushra Bibi from Bani Gala to Adiala Jail, to which lawyer Usman Riaz Gul replied that yes, of course we want to transfer Bushra Bibi to Adiala Jail.
