Longtime Golf Channel reality series “Big Break” host Stephanie Sparks has passed away. She was 50. According to her obituary, she died on April 13.

Her cause of death is currently unknown. She was born in Wheeling, WV to Robert and Janie Sparks.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Susan (Scott) Nolte and their children, Zach (Alexandria) Nolte, Annie Fox, Paige Nolte, Lauren Fox, Lucas Nolte, and Lauren Nolte.

She played for several years professionally on the LPGA development Future’s Tour and played for one year on the LPGA tour.

She won the 1992 North and South Women’s Amateur at Pinehurst and in the summer of 1993, according to USA Today. Sparks represented the US on the 1994 Curtis Cup team and had a brief professional career that was plagued by injuries.

Later, she worked for the Golf Channel and was most memorable as the host for the Golf with Style series as well as several Big Break reality seasons.

Sparks’ Kepner Funeral Homes obituary page added that she was an advocate for hospice care for the last several years of her life.
