Iranian President will travel to Karachi and Lahore besides holding meetings in Islamabad

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, accompanied by a high-level delegation, is set to arrive in Pakistan on Monday, April 22. Besides holding official meetings in Islamabad, he will also travel to Karachi and Lahore, according to a scheduled released on Saturday.

The Iranian president will be accorded a guard of honour at the Prime Minister’s House upon his arrival.

During his visit, President Raisi will hold formal talks with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, focusing on bilateral relations and regional security. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, including enhancing mutual relations and promoting regional peace.

As a gesture of hospitality, the Prime Minister will host a luncheon in honor of the Iranian guests.

On Tuesday evening, President Raisi is scheduled to meet with Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari. The meeting is aimed at further strengthening ties between Iran and Pakistan.

President Zardari will also host a dinner in honor of the Iranian president, highlighting the significance of the visiting delegation.

On Wednesday, President Raisi will travel to Lahore, where he will visit the Shahi Qila (Royal Fort) and Badshahi Mosque. The Iranian president’s visit to these historical landmarks aims to showcase the cultural heritage shared between Iran and Pakistan.

Later on Wednesday, President Raisi will proceed to Karachi, where he is expected to meet with the Governor and Chief Minister of Sindh. The meetings will focus on exploring avenues for cooperation and strengthening ties between the two regions.

During his visit, President Raisi will pay his respects at the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan.

On Thursday, the Iranian president will return to Iran, concluding his successful visit to Pakistan, which aimed to foster closer bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
