Sugar prices in Lahore have witnessed a surge once again. After the increase, sugar is being sold at Rs150 per kilogram in the markets.

The wholesale price of sugar per kilogram has reached Rs142, while in the retail market, it has reached Rs144. It should be noted that before Eid, sugar was priced at Rs. 133 per kilogram in Lahore.

The recent hike in sugar prices has raised concerns among the public, especially amidst the ongoing economic crisis and inflation in Pakistan. The escalation in sugar prices adds to the burden on consumers and further contributes to the overall inflationary pressures in the country.
