Aurangzeb to leaves for US with delegation
A delegation led by Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb left for the United States on Saturday.
During his visit, Mohammad Aurangzeb will also meet IMF MD Kristalina Georgieva, US Deputy Secretary Donald Lu and Deputy Treasury Secretary.
Regarding the visit, sources say that Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb’s visit will take place from April 13 to 21. Pakistan will also request the IMF to send a loan mission.
It should be noted that Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb had said that there will be negotiations with the IMF on a new and bigger program in April.
He said that talks will be held on April 14 and 15, with the International Monetary Fund to continue microeconomic stability.
Mohammad Aurangzeb also said that the IMF should have a program of at least 3 years.
