Two terrorists killed in South Waziristan operation: ISPR

They remained ‘actively involved in numerous terrorist activities’

Two terrorists were killed in an intelligence-based operation by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district on Tuesday, the military’s media wing said.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said that two terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire between security forces and militants.

The ISPR said that weapons, along with a large quantity of explosives, were also recovered from the site. The terrorists remained “actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” it added.

The statement said that a sanitisation operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe-out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

Last week, security forces killed 10 terrorists in two operations in KP. Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in Balochistan’s Panjgur district operation.
