Islamabad Police asks citizens to inform cops before leaving on Eid
Islamabad Police has asked citizens to inform the police before leaving the city on Eid to ensure the safety of their houses and belongings during the holidays.
Police made the announcement in a video featuring DIG operations Syed Shehzad Nadeem.
The DIG advised citizens to take steps so it would not be apparent that the house was empty during the holidays.
He added that even newspaper hawkers should be told not to deliver the paper during the holiday.
He also asked the citizens to make sure their house was secured and all doors and windows should be fastened.
The DIG also called upon the public to let their local police station know that they would be leaving town for the holidays.
He also expressed confidence that the police would do a good job of managing security in the city on Eid.
Eid ul Fitr holidays will begin in the capital on April 10 and will last till April 13.
