Badin woman dies after being imprisoned by her own brother

The woman was a mother of three children

Badin Police have begun investigations after a woman was found buried after being kept imprisoned by her own family for months in the area.

The woman, identified as Ana Unar, is 34 years of age and is the mother of three children.

She was allgedly kept confined in her house against her will by her own brother in Badin for seven months.

During this time, her brother allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times and inflicted violence on her regularly. The man has been indentified Khadim Unar and lives in Dadu.

After her condition severely deteriorated, Khadim Unar allegedly left her in Hyderabad. Locals took her to the hospital but she did not survive.

A video of her explaining her ordeal at the hands of Khadim Unar had recently gone viral on social media. The video shows the woman in extrememly poor health, unable to move her head easily or even swat flies away from her face.

However, it has now been revealed that her husband, Ghulam Mustafa Unar, hurriedly buried her in Luari Sharif in Badin on March 24.

The news came to light after a local man recorded a video of her burial.

Police say that they came to know about the whole affair after the video of the burial reached them.

Badin SSP Shiraz Nazeer confirmed that the woman died in Hyderabad but was buried in Badin. He added that the police have begun investigating the crime and will approach the court for exhumation.
