A shopkeeper in Rawalpindi shot down a robber trying to loot his shop on Saturday.

The incident took place in Afshan Colony, which falls under the jurisdiction of Police Station Racecourse.

A CCTV video of the incident shows the robbers, whose face are covered with masks, calmly checking the street to be clear as they approach the shop.

After making sure the street is deserted, one of the men pulled out a gun while another accomplice went under the counter to clean up the cash counter.

However, as the robbers retreat, the shopkeeper pulled out his own gun and fired, killing one man.

According to police, three other robbers got away from the scene. Investigations about the crime are underway.
