Kangana Ranaut hits back at Congress leader’s personal attack

The Congress politician has deleted all the posts made without her notice

Congress Leader Supriya Shrinate has denied posting derogatory remarks about Indian actress Kangana Ranaut’s electoral debut after the latter hit back..

Ranaut is contesting the elections on a BJP ticket from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, and the congress leader recently tried to question the character of the actress. She also posted photos showing Ranaut in revealing clothes.

The actress firmly addressed Shrinate on social media, saying that in her career, she has played different roles such as a soft girl, a spy, a goddess, and a demon.

“Dear Supriya Ji, In the last 20 years of my career as an artist, I have played all kinds of women. From a naive girl in Queen to a seductive spy in Dhaakad, from a goddess in Manikarnika to a demon in Chandramukhi, from a prostitute in Rajjo to a revolutionary leader in Thalaivii.”

Furthermore, she said that as women, other women should be free from prejudice, as there is a need to preserve women’s dignity.

“If a young man gets a ticket, his ideology is attacked; if a young woman gets a ticket, her sexuality is attacked. Strange !! Also, congresspeople are sexualizing a small town’s name. Mandi is being used in sexual context everywhere, just because it has a young woman candidate. Shame on congresspeople for displaying sexist tendencies,” Ranaut posted.

However, Shrinate has now deleted that Instagram post. She justified herself by saying that she could not degrade another woman and never wanted this situation.

“Someone who had access to my meta accounts (FB and Instagram) posted an absolutely disgusting and objectionable post, which has been taken down. Anyone who knows me will know I would never say that to a woman. However, a parody account that I have just discovered misusing my name is being run on Twitter (@SupriyaParody), which started the whole mischief and is being reported,” the Congress leader said.

She further said that her name had been misused and that the fake account had been working under her name.

“I deleted that post. Everyone who knows me also knows very well that I can never make personal or indecent comments about any woman. I wanted to know how this happened. I came to know that my name is being misused on Twitter and a parody account is being operated, named Supriyaparody,” Shrinate told ANI.

The National Commission for Women has demanded an investigation and strict action against the Congress leader.
