Pakistan Railways announces two special trains on Eid

The trains will depart on April 8, pass through all major train stations

Pakistan Railways has announced two new special trains on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr for the convenience of the public.

According to the authorities, the first train will leave for Peshawar on April 7 at 6 pm from Karachi. 

The train will reach Peshawar on April 8 at 1:15 PM.

Hyderabad, Tando Adam, Nawabshah, Rohri, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, Multan Cantt, Khanewal, Shorkot Cantonment, Toba Tek Singh, Gojra, Faisalabad, Sangla Hill, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lalamusa, Jhelum, Rawalpindi, Taxila Cantt, Attock, Nowshera and Peshawar City stations are all included.

The second special train has been scheduled between Karachi and Lahore on April 8 at 8:15 PM, according to the railway authority. 

This train will pass through Landhi, Hyderabad, Tando Adam, Nawabshah, Rohri, Sadiqabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, Multan Cantt, Khanewal, Mian Channu, Chichawatni, Sahiwal, Yusufwala, Okara, pausing at Pattoki, Raiwand and Kot Lakhpat to reach Lahore at 6 pm on April 9.

The first train features 17 compartments and has the capacity to hold 1,046 passengers while the other Eid Special Train will be comprised of 18 coaches of two business classes and two standard classes.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pakistan Railways Aamir Ali Baloch said that train fares could decline if petrol prices are reduced.
