Can Karachi’s hot weather lead to heat wave in Ramazan?

Met forecasts rains in GB, AJK, and KP

The meteorological department has said that the people of Karachi will face scorching weather today (Monday).

The Met said weather in Karachi will remain hot and humid with the maximum temperature approaching 36 degrees Celsius.

People in the metropolis have experienced scorching heat for the past few days during the month of Ramadan.

However, the Met said on Monday that despite an increase in temperatures there were no signs of a heat wave.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is experiencing dry and partly clouded weather.

Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms, the Met said.

Weather in most of the districts in Sindh will remain dry and hot.

Punjab and Islamabad will also experience dry and partly cloudy weather.

The Met has also forecast rain in Murree, parts of GB and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Dera Ismail Khan, Waziristan, Karam, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Kohistan and Mansehra.

In Balochistan, Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, Chaman, and Pishin will receive thundershowers along with gusty winds.
