Pakistan to host T20 Blind Cricket World Cup

Matches will be played in Sindh, Punjab from Nov 20 to Dec 3

The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council (PBCC) would host the 4th T20 Blind Cricket World Cup in two provinces Punjab and Sindh from November 20 to December 3.

The PBCC has decided to approach the Pakistan Cricket Board and both provinces to host the mega event in a befitting manner, PBCC Chairman Syed Sultan Shah told APP.

A total of seven teams besides Pakistan have confirmed their participation in the World Cup, including India, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Bangladesh, West Indies, New Zealand and Nepal.

The South Asian country was awarded the hosting rights for the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup in the 25th annual general meeting on February 27 in Dubai.

Shah, who is also the World Blind Cricket Limited president, said the expenses for organising the World Cup would be around Rs60 million.

He said that hosting the fourth T20 Blind Cricket World Cup was an honor for Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Australia will soon confirm their participation in the event.

India Blind Cricket Council Chairman Mahantish GK has also assured to come in the World Cup in Pakistan, Shah said and added that the PCB was in contact with Punjab and Sindh governments to prepare for the event.
