Indian actress Arundhati Nair is on the ventilator after meeting with an accident while traveling on the Chennai Kovalam bypass road.

Currently, the actor is admitted to a private hospital in Chennai.

The actor’s sister, Arathy Nair, posted on social media about the incident. She revealed that the actor is on ventilator support and in critical condition. 

The post caption reads “We felt the need to clarify the news reported in Tamil Nadu’s newspapers and television channels. My sister Arundhathi Nair indeed had an accident three days ago. She is critically injured and fighting for her life while being kept on a ventilator at the Ananthapuri Hospital in Trivandrum.”

A friend of Nair, Gopika Anil, has sought financial help to fulfill her medical expenses. 

She posted on Instagram tagging her friend in the caption describing that Nair had met with an accident and was in very critical condition. She narrated the whole scene that her friend is fighting for her life as the hospital costs are increasing. She further added that it is challenging to afford it. She requested contributions from her fans and followers to help her friend.

On March 14, Nair and her brother were hit by a vehicle as she was returning from her interview on the Chennai Kovalam bypass road. According to the sources, the car did not stop after the accident. Arundathi has sustained injuries to her head, according to sources. 

Arundathi Nair is known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam films. She debuted in the film industry through Ottakoru Kaamukan.
