Newly crowned Miss World Krystyna Pyszkova has urged young girls to have a winning mindset and always believe in themselves.

“My message to young girls is that you need to trust yourself if you want to achieve things because when I was younger, I didn’t really trust myself,” Pyszkova, who participated in the contest as Miss Czech Republic, said in an interview with The Indian Express.

“When I just realised that it is all about your mindset, and how you talk to yourself, it helped me develop the winner’s mindset to mean that you can achieve anything.”

She beat as many as 111 contestants to win the beauty pageant title on Saturday. Pyszkova was crowned as the Miss World 2024 in a ceremony in India. Miss India managed to reach up to the top eight contestants in the competition.

Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon was awarded the first runner-up in the finale hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar and former Miss World Megan Young.

A 12-judge panel comprising experts from the film industry, fashion, cricket, social work, and former Miss Worlds declared her as the winner.

“I am full of emotion, full of happiness, and full of excitement. I can’t wait to join the Miss World Organisation and to become the beauty with a purpose ambassador and to travel the world for a greater cause,” Pyszkova said.

While speaking about her country, she said that the European country represented the “enchanting beauty of the culture, of nature” and it has many beautiful historical places.

“We have the highest number of castles in all of Europe. So, there are many things to see and I can’t be more empowered to represent my beautiful Czech Republic,” she said.

The report said that she has been studying for two degrees in law and business administration.

She went on to add that sustainability was a critical issue while considering beauty and fashion.

“I think that is what we should all think about because that’s the key to solving many of our problems. I am trying to bring sustainability to my life too. So, on the Miss World stage, my national costume designer dress was made from recyclable materials with a new sparkle. So, I think that’s the way we should all go in,” she said.
