Saudi Arabia, UAE call on Muslims to sight Ramadan crescent on Mar 10
The authorities in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) called on Muslims to look for Ramadan crescent on the evening of Sunday, March 10.
The Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia on Saturday appealed to Muslims capable of sighting the crescent to report their observations either by the naked eye or through binoculars, Gulf News reported.
It is pertinent to mention that the sighting of the Ramadan moon signals the beginning of Ramadan when Muslims fast from dawn till sunset.
Saudi top court urged the witnesses to report their observations to the nearest court or approach local centres that will guide them to the appropriate court.
