KP chief minister restores Sehat Card after PDM hiatus

Sehat Card Plus services to commence from the first of Ramadan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that the Sehat Card services will be restored in the province begining on the first of Ramadan, which is likely to dall on March 12.

The PTI government launched the Sehat Card when it was in power between 2013 and 2022 Then it was discontinued during PDM rule and the caretaker government for nearly two years.

The card provides health insurance cover for medial treatment of the card holder and it was accessible to the whole population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Following the instructions from the provincial government, State Life Insurance, the insurance company behind Sehat Card, has written a letter to the Zonal heads of Peshawar and Swat for the restoration of the Sehat card.

On March 8, the insurance company conducted a meeting with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa at his house. The Chief Minister authorized the insurance company to restore Sehat Card Plus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The card will ensure that people have free access to medical treatment once again across the province.

During the meeting, Ganadpur stated that Sehat Card Plus services are to be provided from the first Ramadan and all patients will be given uninterrupted services.

Special counters to facilitate patients, program branding, and the presence of helpline numbers in all hospitals are to be ensured.

Ali Amin Gandapur emphasized the welfare of the people will be guaranteed by Sehat Health Card Plus.
