The Ambani family is set to kick off a three-day pre-wedding extravaganza in the family’s hometown on Friday as its heir marries his longtime girlfriend.

Anant, son of Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, is set to marry his longtime girlfriend, Radhika, in July this year. Ambani is the owner of the Reliance group and has a reported net worth of $114 billion.

However, festivities are already beginning with a three-day celebration in Jam Nagar, the Ambani’s hometown in Gujarat. The pre-wedding will continue from March 1 to March 3.

A special mandir is being built for the wedding, while 100 chefs will prepare 500 dishes for guests arriving from all over the world.

The guests include billionaires Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Gautam Adani and Kumar Mangalam Birla. Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Amitabh Bachan and Indian cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni.

However, big names won’t just be attending the wedding but will also add to its colours.

American singer Rihanna and magician David Blaine will perform at the wedding, along with Indian superstar Diljit Dosanjh.

Each of the pre-wedding’s three days has been given its own theme. The first night will feature a cocktail party under the theme ‘An evening in Everland’.

One of the days is labelled ‘Jungle Fever’ and will ask guests to wear animal costumes or Hawaiian shirts.

Visitors attending the Jungle Fever celebration will be taken to an animal rescue centre that is home to over 2,000 animals as well as what is claimed to be the largest elephant hospital in the world.

To get guests to the wedding, the Ambanis have offered a chartered flight service. However, visitors have been asked to limit their luggage ‘two luggage items or three suitcases per couple’. Additional luggage has no guarantee of being sent on the same flight.

However, once they arrive, the guests will have access to Indian clothes, hair stylists and make-up artists. However, the service will be available on first-come first-serve basis.

Guests have also been promised laundry services, but they will have to wait atleast three hours for their clothes to be prepared.

Ambani had arranged a lavish wedding for his daughter Isha in 2018 that was said to cost $100 million dollars featuring a performance from Beyonce. Called a ‘mini-Davos’, the guest list had included Hilary Clinton and John Kerry as well.
