Dangal movie actress Suhani Bhatnagar dies at 19
Actress Suhani Bhatnagar, who starred in Aamir Khan’s Dangal movie died on February 16 in Delhi at the age of 19 after developing a side effect from medication. Aamir Khan’s production house confirmed the news of her death, India Today reported on Saturday.
Bhatnagar, who played young Babita Kumari Phogat in ‘Dangal’ suffered a fracture in the leg and was being given medication.
A note posted by Aamir Khan Productions on Instagram read, “We are deeply saddened to hear about our Suhani passing away. Our heartfelt condolences to her mother Poojaji, and the entire family. Such a talented young girl, such a team player, Dangal would have been incomplete without Suhani.”
The deceased’s father, Puneet Bhatnagar, told the media that his daughter suffered from a rare disease called dermatomyositis (an inflammatory disease marked by muscle weakness and skin rash).
Bhatnagar was given steroids which weakened her immunity. The actress had an infection after which her lungs weakened and were filled with water, making it difficult for her to breathe
The 19-year-old actress played the role of young Babita Kumari Phogat in the 2016 film, ‘Dangal’. She acted along with Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, and Zaira Wasim in the movie.
