Pervez Khattak stepped down from the post of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P) chairman on Saturday.

The former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa accepted defeat in the recently held election in which the PTI-P failed to secure any seat in Pakistan and KP.

Khattak also announced leaving the membership of the party while saying that party leader Mehmood Khan will remain acting chairman till the election of a new party chairman.
