Federal Investigation Agency has summoned Aleema Khan for spreading anti-state material and maligning state institutions.

Aleema, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been summoned to the FIA headquarters in Islamabad on February 16.

She has been accused of spreading anti-state material through print and electronic media, maligning state institutions and creating rift between army and people of Pakistan.

The notice also says that in case of non-appearance, the FIA will assume Aleema Khan has nothing in her defence and legal proceedings will be initiated against her.

Aleema has been visible in the defence of her brother who has been imprisoned since August 5.

She has also regularly attended court hearings and expressed fears over Khan’s safety in jail.
