Pakistan qualify for U-19 World Cup semi-final after beating Bangladesh
Pakistan qualified for the semi-final of the U-19 World Cup 2024 after beating Bangladesh by five runs in a low-scoring thriller on Saturday.
The Super Six match, played at South Africa’s Willowmoore Park saw Bangladesh needing to chase down the target of 156 in 38.1 overs to make it to the knockouts.
However, Pakistan got Bangladesh all out for 150 on the back of Ubaid Shah’s fifer. Batting first, Pakistan were all out on 156 in 40.4 overs.
Ali Raza took three wickets while Muhammad Zeshan took one but final wicket.
Pakistan became the second team from Group A of the Super Six round after India to advance to the semi-finals.
