A man was arrested on Wednesday by police for allegedly killing another man when he was helping to stop a couple from fighting in India’s Tamil Nadu, India Today reported.

The incident occurred when 59-year-old Radhakrishnan and his 48-year-old wife were arguing with each other about selling the land.

Sivakumar, 36, intervened and tried to stop the fight. But it did not end well as Radhakrishnan allegedly attacked him with a sickle and injured his right hand.

In reaction, Sivakumar allegedly snatched the sickle from Radhakrishnan and killed him.

Police registered the case against Sivakumar under murder charges and arrested him.
