Punjab Police foiled an attempt by terrorists to infiltrate the province through Dera Ghazi Khan on Tuesday. Police used thermal imaging to detect and track the terrorists, ultimately chasing them out of the province’s boudary.

According to a video released by IG Punjab Usman Anwar, the police check post in Jhangi was attacked by terrorists late at night.

However, the police officials on duty at the post managed to effectively engage the terrorists, forcing eight of them to retreat.

The IG also showed a thermal scan of the incident in the video. However, no casualties from either side have been reported so far.

Anwar attributed the successful operation to the dedication of the police officials as well as use of latest technology.

He also said that the police is on high alert on all posts on the boundary of the province to prevent any such incident from taking place. He also expressed a commitment to maintaing the peace in the province.
