The School Education Department of Punjab on Saturday notified the extension of revised timings for schools amid extreme cold and smog in the province.

The public and private schools across the province were directed to follow the revised timing till January 10. They will resume the regular timings from February 1.

It is pertinent to mention that the caretaker government of Punjab on January 8 announced the opening of schools on Jan 10 as schools operating in single-shifts were directed to start classes from 9:30am till 1:00pm.

Likewise, schools working in double shifts will begin the first shift from 9:30am till 1:30pm while the evening shift’s classes will be from 1:45pm till 5:30pm.
