PMLN leaves two constituencies vacant for Aun, Aleem
Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party leaders Aleem Khan and Aun Chaudhry finally received good news from the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz regarding seat adjustment on Friday.
According to reports, the PMLN has decided to not to field candidates against Chaudhry in Lahore’s NA-128 and against Khan in NA-117.
Additionally, PMLN will also leave the field empty Punjab Assembly’s constituency PP-149.
The IPP had only managed to field a total of 18 candidates for the upcoming general elections and was eager to reach seat adjustment deals with the PMLN.
However, the party had resisted the IPP’s approaches in Lahore, which is traditionally considered a party stronghold.
The IPP was formed in 2023 mostly by disgruntled and estranged former members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
