**Pakistani social media is full of criticism and anger at the Pakistani cricket team’s struggle in the field department on Thursday in the Melbourne test and credit goes to Abdullah Shafique, who dropped three important catches. **

A recent drop on the third day of the Melbourne test dented Pakistan’s lead on the third day as Australia began recovering from a calamitous top-order collapse in the Boxing Day Test.

The match turned its head on the second day, Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza claimed two wickets each aside from lunch as Australia slumped to 16 for 4 with a lead of just 68 runs.

However, Marsh was dropped by Abdullah Shafique when he was on 20 runs, it was the first slip of the third-day match and the third display of misfield from Shafique.

Marsh made Pakistan pay and powered to an unbeaten 57 by tea. He has combined with Steven Smith in a 91-run partnership to lift Australia to a lead of 161 runs.

It was Abdullah Shafique who dropped the first catch of the series on Day 1 of the opening Test and allowed Usman Khawaja to continue for 16 overs.

Centurion David Warner marked his hundred after Shafique miscalculated his distance from the ball.

The Internet is expressing hate for dropping multiple important catches.

Pakistan has yet to win a Test match in Australia since 1995 and hasn’t won a series in the longest format Down Under in their history.
