The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) started receiving nomination papers on Wednesday and will continue to receive submissions until Friday for the forthcoming general elections.

According to a notification, the commission will publish the list of candidates on Saturday and start the scrutiny process from Sunday to the 30th of this month.

Appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers can be filed by the 3rd of next month, which will be decided by Appellate Tribunals by the 10th of next month.

The revised list of candidates will be displayed on the 11th and candidates can withdraw their papers by the 12th of the next month.

The Election Commission will allot election symbols to parties on the 13th of next month while polling is to be held on the 8th of February.
