Former speaker of the National Assembly Fahmida Mirza sustained injuries in an alleged road accident in Karachi’s Khayaban-e-Shamsheer on Tuesday, her son Hasnain Ali Mirza said.

Fahmida was moved to the hospital after a car hit her vehicle from the back, he added.

The former speaker of the National Assembly is a leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance.
