All-rounder Shadab Khan has been ruled out of the New Zealand T20 series amid a foot injury, sources said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s selection committee has finalized a 17-member squad for the series where Usama Mir will replace Khan while Shoaib Malik has also been omitted from the squad, they added.

The newly appointed captain of the Test team Shan Masood is likely to be added to the squad in which Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Mohammad Rizwan, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Aamer Jamal have been included.

Fast bowler Zaman Khan and Asif Afridi will also be part of the team visiting New Zealand.
