Team honours Babar Azam for completing 50 Test matches of his career
Pakistan’s former skipper Babar Azam is playing his 50th Test match of his career as Pakistan and Australia’s Test series has begun in Perth, Australia on Thursday.
The big moments of 29-year-old Babar have been celebrated by the team and management by giving him honour.
In a video shared by the PCB on its X handle, Captain Shan Masood can be seen devoting wishes and greetings to Babar. Shan delightfully handed over a special souvenir cap to his predecessor for this landmark moment in his career.
Babar’s successor Shan appraised him and acknowledged his performance as captain, he said: “You proved that Pakistan’s batters are world-class.”
Shan expressed the wish to see Babar’s appearance in a hundred and more test matches.
Babar secured 3,772 runs in test cricket, so far, with an average of 47.74 he also marked nine centuries and 26 half-centuries.
