US Judge Frank Caprio, renowned for his empathy and compassionate approach in the courtroom has shared a heartfelt video on social media revealing his diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

The 87-year-old judge, who retired at the commencement of the current year, January 2023 after 40 years of service expressed gratitude for the support and requested prayers as he faces this health challenge.

Caprio a familiar face from the TV show Caught in Providence, emphasized the significance of prayer alongside medical treatment in his battle against the “insidious form of cancer.”

His viral videos about court proceedings are popular in Pakistan as well. Interestingly, years back Pakistani couple was also featured as the couple was charged with traffic rules violation. The video received immense response from Pakistani social media about the court discussion as well as Caprio treatment towards the couple.

Married to Joyce with five children, two of whom are in Rhode Island politics, Caprio will undergo treatment from a dedicated medical team in both Rhode Island and Boston’s Dana Farber Cancer Institute.

In the video, he emotionally lightened on his career and the unexpected fame he gained, attributing it to his hardworking immigrant father.

People touched by Caprio’s kindness, like Spencer Gregory, who had a traffic ticket dismissed, expressed their heartfelt support and intention to pray for the judge. Despite acknowledging the challenging road ahead, Caprio remains determined to fight the disease.

Alongside the video, he shared images of his recent birthday celebration and moments from his life, creating a poignant reflection on his impactful career and the support he has garnered.
