PMLN supremo Nawaz Sharif has arrived at the Lahore residence of PMLQ Chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.

The two leaders will discuss the political situation of the country and possibly explore an electoral alliance.

Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, Ayaz Sadiq and other PMLN leaders also accompanied him.

Shujaat Hussain and Nawaz Sharif last met in September 2018, shortly after Begum Kulsum Nawaz Sharif passed away and Shujaat arrived at Sharifs Jati Umra residence near Lahore.

Background report suggests PMLQ is exploring a possible election alliance with the PMLN. Shujaat’s son Shafay wants to contest both provincial seats from Gujrat.

When Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan ending his four-year exile Shujaat expressed warm wishes in a welcome message. He expressed hope that Nawaz Sharif would choose a path of reconciliation.
