10-month-old child dies in Rawalpindi hospital due to lack of oxygen
A 10-month-old child passed away at the Benazir Bhutto Hospital in Rawalpindi due to lack of oxygen on Tuesday.
The child, named Aleeza, had been trasferred to the hospital from Wah Cantt on Monday night.
The children ward in the hospital is reportedly overwhelmed due to the closure of Holy Family Hospital due to upgradation work. The work, which began in October, is expected to take four months.
Earlier in the day, Benazir Bhutto Hospital’s administration decided to take action against a doctor who had made a statement against the lack of facilities in the children’s ward of the hospital.

A three-member committee has been formed to probe the doctor’s statement and will submit a report within 24 hours.
