Pakistan’s ‘Kamli’ after winning the hearts of local audiences marked another history after receiving three awards in the Minsk International Film Festival 2023.

Sarmad Khoosat’s directorial film was released in theatres on June 3, 2022, and received positive reviews both from the audiences and the critics.

A strong script’s story and powerful acting assisted the film in bagging awards of the Best Actor Award (Saba Qamar), Best Director Award (Sarmad Khoost), and Viewers’ Choice awards at the Minsk International Film Festival also known as Listapad, the biggest film festival in Belarus.

Kamli develops a simple fairy tale which showcases an affecting romantic melodrama that examines the role of tradition in shaping women’s fears and desires.

Filmmaker Khoosat and actress Saba Qamar shared their success with fans on Instagram.

The film stars: Saba Qamar Zaman, Sania Saeed, Nimra Bucha, Omair Rana and Hamaza Khawaja in the lead roles.
